disclaimer i am not a christian and this is not a christian post but It’s so funny how christians are like don’t use the lords name in vain but it’s actually so interesting how all of our common exclamations are spiritually/religiously based like “holy shit”, “jesus christ” “oh my god/oh lord” and it’s like…that’s not invoking the name in vain… that’s exactly when someone needs god/spiritual assistance. when some shit is going down. when i say oh my god, even about something petty it’s like, an acknowledgment of god and that god is everywhere in everything, including this thing i’m exclaiming about. it’s not “in vain” wtf! language is so wild. anyway i love restructuring my old religious conditioning into something new and beautiful that *actually makes sense* and im going to keep doing that forever
